Word for Friday September 13. St. John Chrysostom.

“At that time: Jesus told his disciples a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his teacher, but every one when he is fully taught will be like his teacher. Why do you see
the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” Luke 6:39-41. St. John Chrysostom said, “No matter how just your words may be, you ruin everything when you speak with anger.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, forgive us for being oblivious to our own faults, idiosyncrasies and blindness yet we easily see and even scrutinize those of others. Give us the grace to continually improve our life and behavior that our life together may be more peaceful and amicable. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
