Word for Friday September 17. “There is great gain in godliness with contentment; for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world; but if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content.” 1 Timothy 6:6-8. G. K. Chesterton said, “When it comes to life, the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.” Let us pray, Father, we thank You for placing us in a world of plenty; You have given us everything and at times we crave for everything. May the Spirit of Your Son teach us contentment; that we may concentrate on those things and realities which are for our deeper good and progress in holiness. Amen.
“Let your light shine!!” Mt. 5:16.
Be blessed. Larry
