Word for Friday September 20. St. Andrew Kim Taegon, priest, Paul Chong and Companions.

“Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. Accompanying him were the twelve and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities.” Luke 8:1-2. St. Pope John Paul II said, “The true Christian can nurture a trustful optimism, because he is certain of not walking alone. In sending us Jesus, the eternal Son made man, God has drawn near to each of us. In Christ he has
become our traveling companion.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, much of Your ministry was seemingly ordinary. Walking from town to town, hoping to be received with gladness, You were exhausted by days end. Yet we are taught that everything You did had eternal value, every breath You took. By Your grace, may we see Lord, that as members of You, the smallest act of love we do has eternal value in Your eyes, in Your heart. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed.
