Word for Friday September 9.

“Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?  How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother let me remove that splinter from your eye . . . You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your own eye first.” Luke 6:41-42. St. Silouan the Anthonite said, “The man who cries out against evil men, but does not pray for them will never know the grace of God.” Let us pray, Oh Jesus, so often we see the faults of others and overlook our own.  Grant us the grace of humility, that we may see our own shortcomings, and so be moved to compassion and true love for others. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
