“Brethren: I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the chalice, after supper, saying, “This chalice is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the chalice, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-26. St. Catherine of Siena said, “When we receive the Body of
Christ, we receive the Son of God who gives Himself to us in love; the Eucharist transforms us into Himself.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your tremendous love, for giving Yourself entirely to us in the Eucharist and in every act of Your life. Teach us, we pray, to follow Your example, to give of ourselves generously to those we are called to serve, and to dedicate our hearts, time, and talents to Your Church. May our lives reflect Your selfless love, that in all we do, we glorify the Father and bring others closer to You. Strengthen us each day to love as You love, to serve as You serve, and to remain faithful in all things. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
