Word for Monday August 25. St. Louis of France.

“We give thanks to God always for all of you…unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of
Our Lord Jesus Christ…for our Gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, with much conviction.” 1 Thessalonians 1: 2-3, 5. St. Thomas Aquinas said, “Praying for others is a sign of love; and the more love the saints in heaven have, the more they
pray for those on earth who can be helped by their prayers.”

Let us pray, Heavenly Father, we have a cloud of witnesses in heaven, whose faith on earth helped spread the life of the Gospel as they labored in love. We ask through their intercession that we too will be strong in faith, laboring in love, and filled with the Holy Spirit to bring hope and the love of Jesus to the world. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
