“When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said, “This is a deserted place and it is already late; dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.” He said to them, “There is no need for them to go away; give them some food yourselves.” Matthew 14:15-16. St. Peter Chrysologus said, “If you hope for mercy, show mercy. If you look for kindness, show kindness. If you want to receive, give.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we thank You for giving us the Eucharist the best of all that You could ever; Your very body and blood. St. John Vianney, Patron of Priests, celebrated the sacraments, especially confession, in a very special way; sharing Your sacred gifts in a very special way. Sometimes when people turn to us expecting us to give we are indifferent or give them what is not really important to them. You sacrificed Yourself and gave
us the very best. May we emulate You, emulate St. Vianney, as we give to others. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
