“When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion appealed to him and approached him saying, ‘Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed,
suffering dreadfully.’ He said to him ‘I will come and cure him.’ The centurion said in reply ‘Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant shall be healed…When Jesus heard this he was amazed and said to those following him ‘Amen I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.” Matthew 8:5-8, 10. St. Augustine said, “God does not choose us because we are worthy, but in choosing us He makes us worthy; for He stoops to heal us and walks with us until we reach Him.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You are so trustworthy, and faithful. May we never doubt you. Your ways are not our ways, Your thoughts are above our thoughts. But we know, Your name is ‘Faithful and True’. You are goodness itself Lord Jesus. May we always stand on You, our Rock. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
