The chief priests and elders…approached Jesus while he was teaching and said, ‘By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you this authority?’ Jesus replied ‘Where was John’s baptism from…heavenly or human origin?” Matthew 21:23-25. Laurie Halse Anderson said, “The trick to surviving an interrogation is patience. Don’t offer up anything. Don’t explain. Answer the question and only the question that is asked so you don’t accidentally put your head in a noose.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus – you suffered interrogation and doubt throughout your earthly ministry.  It is still going on today. In our ignorance we question you.  Pour out your Holy Spirit of Truth, bring your light into the world anew.  We are in great need of You! Amen.
