Word for Monday June 30. First Martyrs of Holy Roman Church.

“The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, seeing that Abraham shall become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall bless themselves by him? No, for I have chosen him, that he may charge his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice; so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.” Genesis 18:17-19. St. Joan of Arc said, “It is better to be alone with God. His friendship will not fail me, nor his counsel, nor his love. In his strength I will dare, and dare, and dare, until I die.”

Let us pray, Father, You are a great and faithful friend! You chose Abraham and You treated him as a real friend with whom You chat and reveal what You plan to do. You listen to him and take him seriously. Father that we may become Your true friends; that You may listen to all our prayers and supplications. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
