Word for Monday September 13. “When he heard of Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his slave. And when they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him, for he loves our nation, and he built us our synagogue.” Luke 7:3-5. St. Basil said, “A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.” Let us pray, Loving Father, this foreigner is judged “worthy” that Jesus Your Son may do a kind act for him in return for his love and generosity. May our love and generosity extend beyond family and acquaintances to enrich all society. Amen.
“Let your light shine!!” Mt. 5:16.
Be blessed. Larry
