Word for Monday September 16. Sts. Cornelius, Pope and Cyprian, Bishop.

“Sacrifice or oblation you wished not, but ears open to obedience you gave me. Burnt offerings or sin offerings you sought not, then said I “Behold I come. In the written scroll it is prescribed for me, to do your will O God, is my delight, and your law is within my heart!” Psalm 40:6-8. Pope Francis said, “Obeying God is listening to God, having an open heart to follow the path that God points out to us.”

Let us pray, My God, to do Your will is most often right before us. You give us people to love, to serve, tasks to do. We need not look far, only open our eyes and see with Your eyes. May the fruit of prayer help us see, each is called to do Your will, and You will faithfully lead us in spite of ourselves. Walk with us Lord we pray. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
