Word for Saturday after Epiphany, January 8. “He who has the bride is the bridegroom; the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice; therefore this joy of mine is now full. He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:29-30. Pope Benedict XVI said, “Anyone who has discovered Christ must lead others to him. A great joy cannot be kept to oneself. It has to be passed on.” Let us pray, Father like John we are Your messengers in the Church and in the world; make our joy complete that we may observe our limits and let You increase. Amen.
