Word for Saturday April 19. Holy Saturday At the Easter Vigil in the Holy Night of Easter.

“Two men in dazzling garments appeared to the women and said to them ‘Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here but has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified
and be raised on the third day.’ And they remembered his words. Then they returned from the tomb and announced all these things to the eleven and all the others.” Luke 24:4-9. St. John Paul II said, Christ's Resurrection is the strength, the secret of Christianity. It is not a question of
mythology or of mere symbolism, but of a concrete event. It is confirmed by sure and convincing proofs.

Let us pray, Lord God, what astonishment, and what joy to see You had been raised. The women were prepared to dress Your body with spices, and found You gone! After so much suffering in seeing You taken so horrifically, and now You are raised! May the holy women pray for us, that we too rejoice in the resurrection. That we too bring good news to all we meet. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
