“Jesus said to his disciples: You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes the sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.” Matthew 5:43-45. St. Paul of the Cross said, “The passion of Jesus is a sea of sorrows, but it is also an ocean of love. Ask the Lord to teach you to fish in this ocean. Dive into its depths. No matter how deep you go, you will never reach the bottom.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, help us meditate on your suffering, your hanging on the cross. When we see someone and start to criticize them inwardly, remind us to look at you – to see the price paid for our own sins, what it cost you. You did not suffer in vain Lord, in you we will triumph over our own
shortcomings, and be merciful to others. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
