“Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that Jesus was eating with sinners and tax collectors and said to his disciples ‘Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ Jesus heard this and said to them, ‘Those who are well do not need a physician, but the
sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.” Mark 2:16-17. St. John of the Cross said, “In the twilight of life, God will not judge us on our earthly possessions and human success, but rather on how much we have loved.”
Let us pray, Lord God, when we feel compelled to judge others, let us remember our own sinfulness, and humble ourselves in gratitude to You. May we learn to see as You see, to love the person within, and be a source of grace for others. May
kindness and compassion prevail. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
