Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. “The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger…they made known the message that had been told them about this child…and Mary kept all these things in her heart.” Luke 2:16-17, 19. St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta said, “Mary, give me your heart: so beautiful, so pure, so immaculate; your Heart so full of love and humility that I may be able to receive Jesus in the Bread of life and love Him as you love Him and serve Him in the distressing guise of the poor.” Let us pray, Lord God, Mary was filled with humility, even as Mother of the Son of God.  May we learn from her how to live joyfully in You.  Through her intercession may we grow day by day in wisdom, humility and love. Amen .
