Word for Saturday June 1.

“O God, you are my God whom I seek; for you my flesh pines and my soul thirsts, like the earth, parched, lifeless and without water. Thus have I gazed toward you in the sanctuary to see your power and your glory, for your kindness is greater than life.” Psalm 63:1-3. St. Augustine said, “When I seek you, my God, I seek a blessed life. I shall seek you, so that my soul may live.”

Let us pray, O God Our Father, often we seek You in prayer, and our hearts are dry, parched. By Your grace may we seek You all the more. May we renew our efforts, spending time in prayer with You before the Blessed Sacrament, and be still, waiting, knowing You are God. Amen.
