Word for Saturday March 28. St. Castor, Martyr of Tarso.

“The chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said ‘What are we going to do? This man is performing many signs. If we leave him alone, all will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our land and our nation.’ But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year said to them… ‘it is better that one man should die…so the whole nation may not perish.” John 11:47-50. St. Pope John Paul II said, “There is no evil to be faced that Christ does not face with us. There is no enemy that Christ has not already conquered.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, it was decided you should die so the nation would not be disturbed. And yet out of your death came the salvation of the world. So many times we experience suffering in our lives, and we cannot see why. Why is it allowed? But you have your ways – You are all good and trustworthy. May we leave all in your care. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
