Word for Saturday May 25.

“Beloved: Is any one among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:13-14. St. Alphonsus Ligouri said, “Acquire the habit of speaking to God as if you were alone with Him, familiarly and with confidence and love, as to the dearest and most loving of friends.”

Let us pray, Loving Father: prayer, singing praise and getting anointed are some of the ways of communing intimately with the divine for the benefit of our wellbeing. Thank You Father for sharing Your Son, that He may become flesh to transform what is flesh into divine life and reality. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
