Word for Saturday, November 29. St. Catherine of Egypt.

“At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, “Take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare; for it will come upon all who dwell upon the face of the whole earth. But watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:34-36. St. Francis de Sales said, “Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them, every day begin anew.”

Let us pray, Lord, it is true, many times we allow our hearts to be weighed down with unbefitting behavior and the cares of this life. Sometimes we move and act carelessly risking to lose precious people, things, and even eternal life. Lord in all our moments of temptation, weakness and danger of despair empower us with new strength and insight to always opt for the more valuable and uplifting. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
