Word for Saturday November 8. St. Elizabeth of the Trinity.

“Brothers and sisters, greet Prisca and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their necks for my life…Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the firstfruits in Asia for Christ. Greet Mary, who has worked hard for you. Greet Andronicus and Junia, my relatives and fellow prisoners; they are prominent among the Apostles, and they were in Christ before me.” Romans 16:3-7. St. Thomas Aquinas said, “Praying for others is a sign of love; and the more love the saints in heaven have, the more they pray for those on earth who can be helped by their prayers.”

Let us pray, God our Father, those who have gone before us worked hard for the spread of the Gospel. Their names have come down to us, alive forever in the scriptures. May these faithful ones pray for us – Sts. Epaentus and Andronicus, Junia, Prisca and Aquila, remember us, and pray that like you, we be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Our Lord. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
