Word for Saturday September 27. St. Vincent de Paul.

“I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand! Then I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.” And behold, the angel who talked with me came forward, and another angel came forward to meet him, and said to him, “Run, say to that young man, ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and cattle in it. For I will be to her a wall of fire round about, says the Lord, and I will be the glory within her.” Zechariah 2:5-9. St. John Chrysostom said, A soul fortified with the wall of faith is stronger than any city; for faith is the wall which no enemy can breach.

Let us pray, We thank You Lord for being the wall around us and being the glory within us. May we struggle to keep You always in us and around us that no harm or undesired happening may touch us. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
