Baptism of Our Lord. “After all the people had been baptized, and Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form, like a dove. And a voice came from heaven “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” Luke 3:21-22. St. Theresa of Avila said, “Prayer is being on terms of friendship with God, frequently conversing in secret with Him who, we know, loves us.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, the Bible says You were always seeking the Father in prayer, even after Your baptism.  May You be our example.  You who are both Lord God and Son of Man, teach us to pray, to love our Heavenly Father as You do.  Amen.
