Word for Thursday April 18.

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from…and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” John 6:47-51. St. Cyril of Alexandria said, “As two pieces of wax fused together to make one, so he who receives Holy Communion is so united with Christ that Christ is in him and he is in Christ.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we cannot comprehend your love so great, that you insist on being within us, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, so close as to become one with us. Who are we to deserve you, our creator, within us. We don’t deserve, we don’t understand, but we believe, and we receive. Your mercy knows no bounds. Amen. “Let your light shine!” Be blessed. Larry.
