Word for Thursday August 10, Feast of St. Lawrence, Deacon and Martyr.

St. Lawrence is my Patron Saint. May the Lord will accept my daily sacrifice. “Jesus said to his disciples:
Amen, amen I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a
grain of wheat; but if it dies it produces much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever
hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life.” John 12:24-25. Someone said, “You
can never cross the ocean unless you lose sight of the shore.” Let us pray, Heavenly Father, help
us to say with all our hearts “Thy will be done.” For the grace to choose to follow Christ we pray,
to set aside our wants and demands, and surrender our lives to Him we pray. Amen. “Let your
light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
