Word for Thursday February 13. St. Jordan.

“The Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” . . . and the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Genesis 2:18, 22-23. St. Maximilian Kolbe said, “God sends us friends to be our firm support in the whirlpool of struggle. In the company of friends we will find strength to attain our sublime ideal.” Let us pray, Yes, Lord, “It is not good that we live alone!” Thank You Lord for creating the opposite gender to mine; one that is fit to complement me. Thank You Lord for creating us for community and not lonesomeness. Give us the grace to appreciate the other and cooperate with him or her to create a better Church, Family, or Community. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
