Word for Thursday February 8.

“The woman was a Greek…and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. He said to her ‘Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.’ She replied to him ‘Lord even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.’ Then he said to her ‘For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” Mark 7:26-29. St. Albert the Great said, “The greater and more persistent your confidence in God, the more abundantly you will receive what you ask.”

Let us pray, Lord God, Your heart was moved by the faith and persistence of this woman. ‘For saying this, You may go…’ In her trust and desire, she obtained from You what she wanted, her daughter’s healing. May we persist like her, in faith and trust, and obtain all we need from You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
