For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.’ She replied to him ‘Lord even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.’ Then he said to her ‘For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” Mark 7:26-29. St. Albert the Great said, “The greater and more persistent your confidence in God, the more abundantly you will receive what you ask.”

Let us pray, Lord God, Your heart was moved by the faith and persistence of this woman. ‘For saying this, You may go…’ In her trust and desire, she obtained from You what she wanted, her daughter’s healing.
