Sacrifice or oblation you wished not, but ears open to obedience you gave me. Burnt offerings or sin offerings you sought not, then said I ‘Behold I come. In the scroll it is prescribed for me to do your will, O God is my delight, and your law is within my heart!”Psalm 40:6-8. St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta said, “We must know exactly when we say yes to God what is in that yes. Yes means ‘I surrender,’ totally, fully, without any counting the cost, without any examination: ‘Is it all right? Is it convenient?’ Our yes to God is without any reservations.”
Let us pray, Holy God, show us today how to do Your will. May we not look for grandeur but rather see Your will in the ordinary things of the day. May we say yes Lord, I will take care of that today, yes Lord I will show kindness and patience today. In union with Jesus, I will do Your will. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
