“And now, assist me, who am all alone, and have no one but you, O Lord, my God. Come to my aid, for I am an orphan. Put eloquent speech in my mouth before the lion, and turn his heart to hate the man who is fighting against us, so that there may be an end of him and those who agree with him. But save us from the hand of our enemies; turn our mourning into gladness and our affliction into well-being.” Esther 4:14, 23-25. St. Alphonsus Liguori said, “Our God delights in stooping down to converse with us, and He rejoices when we make known to Him our most trivial everyday affairs.”
Let us pray, Lord God, in prayer, give us the closeness and intimacy with You like You gave to Esther. May our prayers express our needs in very plain words, words which express the very situation we are going through; for You listen to our every prayer we express to You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
