“And all the assembly kept silence; and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. After they had finished speaking, James replied, “Brethren, listen to me . . . my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the pollutions of idols and from unchastity and rom what is strangled and from blood.” Acts 15:12-13, 19. Pope Francis said, “Freely giving of our own time to listen to people is the first act of charity.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus the assembly kept silence and listened to Barnabas and Paul and it was only after listening that a judgment was
given. Lord may Your Church be a listening Church; listening to one another and taking decisions when all the sides have been listened to. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed.
