Word for Thursday May 8. St. Victor the Black.

“In those days: An angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go towards the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza . . . And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go up and join this chariot.” So Philip run to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.” Acts 8:26, 29-31. St. Padre Pio said, “Make yourself familiar with the Angels and behold them frequently in spirit. Without being seen they are present with you…your Guardian Angel is always with you and never leaves you, no matter what wrong thing you might do.”

Let us pray, Loving Father, we thank You for sending us relevant messengers who teach us and point out the way we need to take to reach our destinations. Sometimes we lose the way; other times we do lack understanding. We thank You for the messengers You send to clarify things. Lord, send us also Your Spirit that we may also be Your messengers; to help others in their search for meaning and direction. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
