“Today is holy to the Lord your God. Do not be sad, do not weep’ – for all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the law. He said further ‘Go eat rich foods, and drink sweet drinks…for today is holy to our
Lord…rejoicing in the Lord must be your strength!” Nehemiah 8:9-10. St. Therese of Lisieux
said, “When we really love, we rejoice in the happiness of the loved one, and make every
sacrifice to procure it for him.” Let us pray, Lord You restored the walls of Jerusalem, and the
people humbled themselves at Your Word, and then rejoiced at Your goodness to them. May we
wait in humble trust too Lord, may we always rejoice in You, and therein find our strength.
Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
