Word for Thursday September 15: Our Lady of Sorrows.

“Standing by the Cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” John 19:25-26. St. John Paul II said, “Turn your eyes incessantly to the Blessed Virgin, who is the Mother of Sorrows, and also the Mother of Consolation.  Look to her, pray to her, and your tedium will become serenity, your anguish will turn to hope, and your grief into love.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, Your Mother was there when You were in pain on the Cross. On the Cross You entrusted her with the mission of accompanying the Church all the time. May Your Mother pray for us that we may also be present for those who suffer and vice-versa. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry
