Word for Thursday September 30. “And Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly . . . And he read from it . . .  from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law.” Nehemiah 8:2-3.

St. Padre Pio said, “Before beginning to read God’s word: raise your mind to the Lord and implore Him to guide your mind Himself, to speak to your heart, and move your will.” Let us pray, Holy Spirit, may we hear and understand the Word of God; meditate on it for it is the food of life. Inspire us to find ways of putting it in action; alive in our daily life. Amen.

“Let your light shine!!” Matthew 5:16.

Be blessed. Larry.
