Word for Thursday within the Octave of Easter April 24. St. Fidelis, Priest and Martyr.

“In those days: While the lame man who had been cured clung to Peter and John . . . Peter addressed the people, “. . . You denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnessed. And his name, by faith in his name, has made this man strong whom you see and know; and the faith which is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.” Acts 3:11-12, 14-16. St. Francis Borgia said, “We must make our way towards eternity, never
regarding what men think of us or our actions, studying only to please God.”

Let us pray, Loving Father, denying the Holy and Righteous One and asking for a murderer is indeed taking a very wrong decision! But we, too, take weird decisions; decisions we have taken and later regret the consequences. Lord Jesus, in Your Mighty Name, with all faith in You may Your Spirit always inspire us with Your wisdom to consistently decide as You would have decided. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed.
