Word for Tuesday December 28th. “When the magi had departed, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said ‘Rise, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” Matthew 2:13. Pope Francis said, “We too can be saints in our family, in our neighborhood wherever we live and work. Be a person who listens to what people need, communicating not only to grieve or tell others about your own problems. Listen in order to intercede and help out.” Let us pray, Heavenly Father, families are under much pressure today, from all sides. We pray through the intercession of St. Joseph, for the protection of families, and that families will stay intact and be a secure refuge for children. Amen.
