Word for Tuesday February 11. Our Lady of Lourdes

. “And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ You leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men.” Mark 7:6-8. St. Therese of Lisieux said, “For me, prayer is a surge of the heart, it is a simple look towards heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.” Let us pray, Lord
Jesus You emphasize quite often that the most important is the heart and not the lips; true worship springs from the heart. May our heart always be surrounded and bathed in Your love and mercy; that we may not follow our own human creations and traditions but live and act according to Your Word and commandments. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
