Word for Tuesday February 15. “Do you not perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” Mark 8:17-19. St. Therese of Lisieux said, “Your soul is called to raise itself to God by the elevator of love, and not by the rough stairway of fear.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, even your friends remained blinded; not perceiving or understanding as You had expected. Lord sometimes we are like them. Soften our hearts; give us the eyes of the heart to see and spiritual ears to hear and minds to remember what You have shared with us.
