“Hannah rose after a meal at Shiloh, and presented herself before the Lord…Eli watched her mouth, for Hannah was praying silently; though her lips were moving, her voice could not be heard.” 1 Samuel 1:9,12-13. St. John of the Cross said, “Never give up prayer . . . and should you find dryness and difficulty, persevere in it for this very reason. God often desires to see what love your soul has, and love is not tried by ease and satisfaction.” Let us pray, Lord God, Your word tells us to persevere in prayer, to pray always. We ask for this grace of praying always.
May we be like Hannah, seeking Your face, and giving over to You the concerns of our hearts. Amen.
“Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
