Word for Tuesday July 1. Blessed Anthony Rosimini.

“At that time: When Jesus got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord, we are perishing.” And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O men of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” Matthew 8:23- 27. St. Augustine said, “Rejoice thus, and wherever you are, as long as you are here, the Lord is very near: do not be anxious about anything.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You teach us that wherever You are present we should never fear. You are the Mighty One who rebukes winds and storms in our life and calm returns. Give us the faith to call You and be present with us that all our storms may always be silenced. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
