Word for Tuesday June 25.

“This is the law and the prophets. ‘Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate, and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:12-14. St. Clare of Assisi said, “Never forget that the way which leads to heave is narrow; that the gate leading to life is narrow and low; that there are but few who find it and enter by it; and if there be some who go in and tread the narrow path for some time, there are but very few who persevere therein.”

Let us pray, Lord God, it seems most often it is the battle within that weighs us down. Shall we surrender again to the Holy Spirit? Or shall we choose again to go our own way, choosing the wide road that leads us away from You? Hedge us in Lord; surround us with Your mercy, help us live on the narrow way that keeps us tethered to You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
