Word for Tuesday September 19

“As Jesus drew near to the gate of the city, a man who had
died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow…When the Lord
saw her, he was moved with pity for her, and said to her ‘Do not weep.” Luke 7:12-13. St.
Augustine said, “We count on God’s mercy for our past mistakes, on God’s love for our present
needs, on God’s sovereignty for our future.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You see us in our every
need. Sometimes You bring visible miracles, and the sick are made well, even raised. And
sometimes You heal in other ways, bringing us back from the death of spiritual darkness. But
always, Your mercy and love are at work. We will praise You forever. Amen. “Let your light
shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
