Brethren: I through the law died to the law, that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:19—20. St. Padre Pio said, The life of a Christian is nothing but a perpetual struggle against self; there is no flowering of the soul to the beauty of its perfection except at the price of pain.
Let us pray, Loving Father, we thank You for the gift of St. Padre Pio, a man who entirely devoted himself to You and You gifted him with the stigmata, the wounds of Your Son! His life was entirely a living to You his God; he was crucified with him; it was no longer him who lived; the life he lived in the flesh he lived by faith in the Son of God. Lord, give us the grace to take him as our daily example in living our faith. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
