“Peter said to the Jews, “Let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.” Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do? And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:36-38. St. John Chrysostom said, “Sin is the wound; repentance is the medicine. Sin is followed by shame; repentance is followed by
boldness.”
Let us pray, Loving Father, You shared Your Son that He may become both God and Savior for us. What the people during His time asked is the question we need to ask, “What must we do?” Like them we need to repent and receive His baptism that all our sins may be forgiven.
Lord we are sorry that sin still exists in our lives; cleanse us that we may be whole. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry
