Word for Wednesday After Epiphany January 8. St. Severin of Noricum.

Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side toward Bethsaida…About the fourth watch of the night, he came walking toward them on the sea… But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out…But at once he spoke with them, ‘Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid!” Mark 6:45, 48-50. St. Catherine of Siena said, “Start being brave about everything, driving out darkness and spreading light as well. Don’t look at your weakness, but realize that in Christ crucified you can do everything.” Let us pray, Lord God, Your command is for us, for all time, ‘Do not be afraid. You told the disciples as You tell us today, ‘Take courage, it is I’. We have no need of fear, because it is You who are with us. You Lord Jesus, You are here. Take care of everything Lord God, we surrender our lives to You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry
