Word for Wednesday April 16. Wednesday of Holy Week.

“The Lord God has given me a well-trained tongue, that I might know how to speak to the weary a word that will rouse them. Morning after morning he opens my ear that I may hear; and I have not rebelled, have not turned back. I gave my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard. My face I did not shield from buffets and spitting.” Isaiah 50:4-6. St. Therese of Lisieux said, Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, it was written hundreds of years before You were born, that You would let evil have its way, plucking Your beard and spitting on You, as You remained surrendered to Your Father’s will. You are so humble and always motivated by love. May we begin to see by Your grace, that humility and love is the narrow way. It is our calling. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
