Word for Wednesday December 13.

“Jesus said to the crowds: ‘Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” Matthew 11:28-30. St. Augustine said, “Humility must accompany all our actions, must be with us everywhere; for as soon as we glory in our good works they are of no further value to our advancement in virtue.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You clearly show us Your way of humility of heart. You the King of the Universe, humbled Yourself and became one of us. Help us today, to lay our burdens at Your feet. May we live the way of humble trust in You, gain rest for ourselves, and so love in freedom as You do. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
