“On another occasion Jesus began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around him, so that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down.  And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land. And he taught them at length in parables.” Mark 4:1-2. St. Mother Theresa said, “People are hungry for something more beautiful, for something greater than people round about can give. There is a great hunger for God in the world today. Everywhere there is much suffering, but there is also great hunger for God and love for each other.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, the people were so hungry to hear Your words. You brought love, and hope to people who had none.

Even now, if we but seek Your face, and stop and listen to Your word, we too can find new hope, and strength for the journey. May we bring hope to others. Amen.
