“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No man has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfect in us . . . Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. Se we know and believe the love God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1 John 4:11-12, 15-16. St. Thérèse of Lisieux said, “You can only love as much as you allow yourself to be loved.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You are Love incarnate, and love alone defines and reveals who You are. Bathe us and immerse us in this divine love until there is no separation between our hearts and Yours. Grant us a new and living conviction that shapes our thoughts, words, and actions. May not only our lips, but our entire being, confess You as the Love of our life.
